The Hensel Expert D-500 is a professional compact studio flash with 500 Ws output. This unit is in very good used condition, fully functional and ready for immediate professional use.
One of the strengths of the Expert D-500 is its wide 8-stop power range, with output precisely adjustable in 1/10-stop increments. This allows the flash to be used for both powerful and very precisely controlled lighting setups.
In terms of speed, the Expert D series is particularly capable. The recycling time is only 0.11 to 0.5 seconds, depending on the selected power setting. This makes fast shooting sequences possible. Flash duration ranges from 1/2,000 to a maximum of 1/5,600 second (t 0.5), allowing movement to be frozen effectively.
For evaluating and setting the light, the Expert D-500 features a powerful 300 W modelling light. The flash also provides stable colour temperature and consistent power output, important characteristics for professional studio work.
Wireless synchronisation via the integrated radio receiver and FreeMask are built in. In combination with suitable Hensel equipment, FreeMask makes it possible to automatically create clipping masks, for example for product, fashion and commercial photography.
The Expert D-500 uses the Hensel EH quick-change system. This provides access to a wide range of Hensel reflectors, softboxes and other light modifiers. With the optional Hensel Power Max L, the flash can also be used independently from mains power on location.
Everything is housed in a robust yet relatively lightweight metal body. The Expert D series is manufactured by Hensel in Germany.
